In the Chicago area, AAA has a battery replacement service that I took advantage of. AAA replaced the battery on the spot on my 2002 Subaru Forester for $115 (that included the labor charge) with a 3 year warranty on the new battery. I have also used them to replace a few flat tires over the years. If I am staying at a hotel, I check to see if they offer a AAA discount. IMHO AAA is a good value.

I had an OEM battery replaced by AAA a few months ago while parked at Sam's club here (it was only three years old also).
I went inside and asked Sam's if they had one and it turned out they didn't. I then called two parts stores and asked the cost, before calling AAA because I'm figuring that their convenience of coming to the vehicle would result in a higher price.
As it turned out, AAA's cost was only $5 more (with the warranty), so the guy came over and changed it out.
I also tipped him $10, which still made the whole thing very efficient and low stress.
