Article after article has appeared in print over the last six months explaining a variety of ways that a candidate could be selected at the Republic convention in July. Further opponents have made no secret of their disdain and or concern that Donald Trump is not a conservative, not a Republican and/or not qualified/suitable for this position.

Indeed it was entertaining to watch Donald Trump's performance but once he managed to beat away all other GOP candidates his demeanor needed to be more solemn more coherent, more detailed about his policies, plans and programs and leave behind
the bumper sticker populist soundbites. He did not and apparently after much prodding by party leaders cannot. Its just not in him

Donald Trump's performance would be as much of an embarrassment as is Obama.

This should have been a great opportunity for GOP and given the Democratic opposition a lead pipe cinch but Donald continues to be energy out of control and many voters recognize we cannot afford another dud in the White House and the primaries produced duds in both camps.

I said many times before on these very pages that I was praying for a Hail Mary pass and perhaps the GOP is on to a solution
