We had our 2011 CYV kitchen refaced in 2013. We like white cabinets and had them in our prior home. When we bought our CYV we looked for white cabinets but they didn't have any available and after a couple of years looking at these unstained maple cabinets we decided to have them changed. We considered painting, Investment Painters who painted our inside walls, can do those professional. However, we decided going with refacing.

Here's how our kitchen looked originally.

Here is how it looked afterwards.

Sorry we don't have better photos, we did have some but our webhosting service changed and we no longer have them online. We used Remington Kitchens of Leesburg. They have a large display ad in The Villages Newcomers Book that comes out once a year.

Basically they removed the old door fronts and drawer fronts, attach new ones using the same hardware. They also replace the handpulls. The base cabinets are refaced with white formica. We went with Thermafoil, which is a sort of melted plastic over wood. The Villages use the same type in their white kitchens. They also offered real painted wood doors and drawers. They charged $4800 for our kitchen. They finished the job in two days. We had to wait about 3 weeks for them to begin, at the time they had two refacing crews.
