Easy to replace. Our tech told us it is VERY important to connect the negative terminal first, then the positive. That's about all you need to know.
Century Link tech came out and found the battery was bad but also the fiber optic line from the post to our house was also bad. He installed a temporary feeder line from the post to our house and now we have service. In about 2 weeks a crew will come and bury the cable. Hubby intends to replace the battery himself. Good to know where to get the new battery. So thanks for that info and about how to install properly.
