The reason is this: From Pimlico, Churchill Greens, Belmont and all courses on the north side of 466, there are usually only three tee boxes on a hole (one for green, one for gold & one for black) so the distances are relatively the same daily and hence printed on the scorecards. Upon construction of courses south of the above, they realized that to alleviate wear and tear, more tee boxes were the answer. There are anywhere from 3 to 6 different tee boxes per hole that are rotated daily on these courses which does not make it feasible to list all of the different yardages on the scorecard.
