In Italian class, we were learning more nouns than verbs. It was taught by someone used to teaching very young children, and her method did not work well for us. One thing I learned from the class was that without verbs, you really can't say much of anything. Even if you can just throw out the infinitive, you're halfway there when trying to speak to someone in another country's language.
