Call Comcast to Request "Loyalty" Discount
As the person who posted this original thread, I wanted to follow-up to let you know I called Comcast to review my services and figure out how to decrease the monthly bill. Based on what I used (2 DVRs and a modem included), I did not change anything on my plan but Comcast gave me, as a "loyalty" discount, the special plan pricing I was offered when I joined. This dropped my monthly services by $47 per month (just for asking!). So, we're keeping internet, TV (digital preferred package with Starz, HD, On Demand, and HBO), and a home phone with voice mail. We are going to save an additional $10 per month when I install our own modem vs. renting it from Comcast. This pricing plan will be in effect for 2 years they said, so I'll call them in 2 years to get whatever the new pricing is. I still think it's too much but it's reliable service and I'm happy they threw me a bone for the $47 per month discount.
