That was then, this is now. Nobody makes the same forever and nothing costs the same forever. If you don't want to pay for it, don't buy it. If enough people don't buy it the price usually comes down. If more and more people are willing to buy, the price goes up.

Too many of them went to college spent a lot of money and not many of them went to work in the field they were educated in.

That has not really worked out, we have a 20 trillion dollar debt...and a bunch of educated idiots working at retail stores.
