I'll put it this way. If I was at work and I didn't like the philosophy or decision of the boss at that time, I could discuss that with my friends at lunch. Some friends would agree and some would disagree, but none of us wanted him dead.
There were others who wanted him dead but they weren't my friends. They had no moral compass.
