Don't you think that Obama knew almost right of the chute that Republicans would oppose everything that he put forward? If the Republicans asked him what day it was, they wouldn't believe his answer. If he gave them an answer at a congressional hearing, they would have started impeachment proceeding hearing for lying under oath.

What he should have done, was put himself in the center of the circular firing squad. Tell them take aim at me. They would do the opposite. They would spin the gun around, and aim at themselves. He could then bark out the order, "don't fire. You will never hit the target!" Good bye circular firing squad. On second thought, given their new found ability of never doing anything right, they would all survive.
