I bet the people living in Bridgeport can't wait to have "grandma" from the projects move into the 4,000 SF home next door. There'll be plenty of room for her 8 children and 28 grandchildren to visit...and that family pool...MUCH better than an open fire hydrant.
I can't wait to diversify the villages!

It goes both ways. It is you that is fear mongering, by making ludicrous suggestions that can't happen.
Long term rentals? Sure, my son has a long term rental. Do you actually think that he would rent to section 8? Nope. He can easily go back to short term rental on it. He only went long term because it was an offer and it was convenient. No one is going to allow section 8 in The Villages. It just won't happen. You can spout all of your racist cr@p and worry people about diversity, but no one will bite. I am a conservative, but I will disavow anyone that spouts your divisive cr@p just as I disavow our current Divider-in-Chief for his racist, anti-police cr@p.
So, my advice to you is that if you don't like it here, then move. It's still possible to get top dollar on your home, IF you really live here.
