It's too late now. The development is almost complete. You can't mandate section 8 housing in areas that are already established. They could mandate section 8 housing in any new residential construction on the outskirts of The Villages, but not IN The Villages. Liberals can gloat all they want with the threat (they are not happy until they can make others miserable) but the worst that can happen here in The Villages is that another liberal from the North moves into the neighborhood. But, we are a decent bunch and will humor them as well as ignore them. Personally, I do not mind my liberal neighbors because most of them are amenity paying snow birds. Snow birds pay our amenities while they stay up North most of the year. It may be hot here during the summer but not so crowded and it leaves the courts and courses less crowded, while the snow birds are also hot up North but without the activities we have. As a matter of fact, it frequently gets hotter up North than here.

So, section 8 housing threat in The Villages? I'm not worrying about it. It won't happen.
