I appreciate your well thought out response and I certainly hope that you are 100% correct .
Before I moved down here I lived for 5 years in small town on an island . Population about 12,000 . It was pretty much crime free .
Then came Section 8 Housing which somehow got attached to some type of Federal Grant towards a new updated water treatment system .
It wasn`t long and we had hard narcotics in our high school and many many break-ins committed by young men who lived in the Section 8 housing .
