We had to have ours replaced 4 weeks ago after 10 yrs in use. Villiage Palm came out and replaced it for $75 service charge and the pump was around $150. the pump was a foot below the water and it was a nasty job getting down to the pump.
The pump stopped after 10 days and they replaced it at no change in 3 days. Very happy with their service.
