The American dollar supercedes all languages? You can go to restaurants in England, France, Scotland, Finland, and just about any foreign country - and the American dollar will not be accepted for the check - unless you (being a typical American tourist) only go to the TOURISTS restaurants.
Pay with your credit card and it gets translated into the local currency.
