[QUOTE=Guest;1261493]If one says that a person reminds you of someone else, it usually DOES mean someone from the past.
My father helped develop the first TVs and we were the only family in our whole neighborhood to have a TV set. We were lucky to get one program a day broadcast in those early days.
The original Bozo the clown was Willard Scott who later became a TV weatherman. I think he also was Ronald McDonald for a while. I remember the Bozo the clown TV show at it's beginning. But, that was way later than the Howdy Doody show and Captain Kangaroo.
I mowed lawns and delivered the Washington Post newspaper when I was a kid for movie money. Saturday matinees were great. Yep, I saw a lot of entertainment when I was a kid. It's a bit different now. I believe I have been to one movie at a theater, in the last 35 years. I got turned off of theaters when people started to get rude and the seating seemed to get less comfortable. Maybe my legs are too long?

Actually, the first to play Bozo was Pinto Colvig. Willard Scott did play him for a few years (1959-62).
We are from Silver Spring. How about yourself?
