I don't take except to what you said, other than Bernie being portrayed as a good person. NO one that knows him thinks of him as kind or decent. He is known to be grouchy, sometimes mean, and critical. No big deal, but he is not the kind old grandpa that is portrayed. He is a socialist and his pie in the sky ideas of entitlements would never have happened, regardless if he was elected or not. His ideas would have tripled the national debt in one term. There was no way to pay for what he was promising. His idea of a hard working society apparently did not include himself, as he did not have a full-time job until he was 40 years old. WHen he needed money he wrote. He wrote some pretty poor stuff also, some of it resembling poorly written porno. No, his ideology is not of American values and would never happen.
