It is not the fault of any President but just very poor HR practices emanating from the Chief of Staffs to the Secretary of VA - who knew squat about best HR practices.
In 1972 I was at the VA hospital (after Vietnam). It was the worst run business I have ever witnesses. I observed many, many Vets in wheelchairs waiting in the lobby area, waiting to be called to be seen. I also watched as government employees chatted and drank coffee in front of these poor guys. As I walked through the halls I heard patients shouting for someone's attention, as nurses congregated around the nurses station, totally oblivious to it all. This was the VA hospital on North Capitol St, in Wash, D.C. the closest one to the White House. I was disgusted and once I was checked out of the hospital, I NEVER returned.
I do not know how much the VA hospitals have improved since then, because I have only been to two of them, one in NC and the one in Gainsville. However, the outpatient clinics, such as the one in The Villages have treated me very courteously and professionally. I attribute much of this to the greatest volunteers I have ever met. Granted, I have had trouble getting an appointment, but that may have been me being impatient on the phone and not actually going up there to see someone in person to get my appointment.
I have yet to see anything run by the government to be efficient. Once a government employee, you are secure for life in your position. No one gets fired in the government, UNLESS someone up top has a dire need to pass the buck to cover their own behind. And then, even then, the person targeted is usually just transferred or promoted out of sight.
I can't attest to how the VA hospitals are today, but in the 70's they were nightmares that probably contributed to many of the 50,000 post Vietnam suicides.

One reason for not trusting Hillary with the Military is because she does not like the military and said some nasty things about them when she resided in the White House. Am I supposed to think that she has had a change of heart? Trump has consistently said he supports our Vets, our military and our law enforcement. He hasn't yet shown otherwise. Trump will likely get my vote. Unless the Democrat party replaces Hillary with someone else, they will not get my support.
