I have been checking out new places for Beau and going at new times for me to Doggie Doo Run Run.
A change in time brings a different group of people at Doggie Doo Run Run. It's so so wet in the morning though and I do not feel like digging for my knee high boots that I had when I was walking around in Minneapolis in two feet of snow.
I do hope to meet a lot of new people on my and Beau's travels. One thing, I do not like to talk about my 224 613 Project all that much as it brings back a lot of rather quite traumatic memories related to the 2-24-1976 murder of Michelle Mitchell on my birthday,
City of Reno : Latest News my getting four degrees to do something about a niche in practical information accessible through or in libraries, and then my 25.75 years fighting the powers that be to get this information to the people who most need it. I have had a lot of victories and just as many defeats in this fight but it has had a lot of emotional and personal costs for me any my family.
I do talk about my professional work with Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners as that was just work I did while a law student. The 224 613 Project is deeply personal but also has impacted many people as I have had the help of many people who have understood-- often on the same personal level-- what I have been trying to do.
So, if you bring this 224 613 Project up I might just walk away as politely as I can. I am seldom rude to anyone as pretty much anyone at Doggie Doo Run Run will tell you. I have been going there 9.5 years almost every day.
Part of why Beau and I are travelling is that my 224 613 Project has its own life and it has started to affect places I thought were safe havens from it. But it is hard for me not to talk about this labor of love that I have been doing since January 1991 which I sincerely believe has had a tremendous impact mainly because of the respect for it from some friends I have made online primarily since January 1991 (those early ones were made in person or via snail mail).
224 is my birthday and 613 is my subject number at the University of California, San Francisco Health Sciences Campus. This was on stress on the unemployed. The 17 week study was in late 1992 and early 1993. Myra Young was my intervewer/researcher. Very nice woman that I remember. I had been kicked out of Law Librarianship by some very powerful librarians for forcing this issue while I was also the cataloger of all the WESTLAW databases for a national project working with conjunction with someone doing the same for LEXIS at Suny Buffalo. I was at the U of MN Law Library after graduating from Law School in 1989.
This would make a very powerful movie if I could get it past the lawyers who would need to be involved with anything like this. That does mean I have to be very careful about what kind of personal choices I make day-to-day.
