The publication in question and the ad in particular reference a letter written by a resident expressing his feeling and beliefs. It is the resident's God given right and its base on factual evidence experienced by at least 13,000 other residents.
Freedom of speech is guaranteed to offend someone but its the price we pay for that freedom. What some posters are suggesting here is a restriction on the freedom of speech because its doesn't fit their world view.
you can't hide the truth and the truth will set you free.
Here again is another example of those residents who seem to believe that they have to come to the defense of The Villages when in fact they should be coming to the defense of residents or at least remaining neutral. It just causes one to furrow a brow and scratch the back of the head? My neighbors are important to me not some business entity.
The Villages doesn't need defending they have the high ground they have loads of money and they have the political connections, essentially the power
Some poster mentioned Facebook. Facebook has shown its manipulation of news concerning politics based on it founders beliefs. any form of a news outlet that restricts free flow of information and/or manipulates news is not a worthy publication. Its unethical journalism and in my view commits what I consider the graves sin of all HYPOCRISY which essentially creates a breach of trust and once trust is broken it can seldom can be reinstated.
