Since the above link shows that people are still able to get free upgrades, it would be good to give time for Microsoft updates to clear everything out for sure.

I suspect there's a difference between someone actively seeking an upgrade to Win10 as mentioned in your link, and someone trying to prevent an unwanted upgrade. From an article in PCWorld, I understood Win10 will not self install after 7/29 and the nag screen will disappear. But I agree there is certainly no harm in keeping that program active for a while just to make sure.
