These have all included a reevaluation (with no X-rays) at no additional cost before the adjustment. Now I can understand a chiropractor charging a minimal $35 fee if there is a history of bone problems and he/she is being cautious by taking more X-rays. I have used mainly Palmer educated chiropractors and I once had one tell me that he had to be very careful with his senior patients as the bones are more easily broken with chiropractic adjustments the older a person is. So if you are a senior (I'm not quite there yet) maybe he was just being cautious and careful (not only for your sake but also for his in fearing a lawsuit) in giving you an additional reevaluation with an X-ray. In this case I don't see a $35 fee as being unreasonable.
Hi, I have gone to Chiropractors for years, have had 4 in this area without good results. A good Palmer Grad with ONLY hand adjustments can usually get me going again on alignment and it can be very good. Some in this area want to ( I call it play) with toys, and toys and the electronic devises, or otherwise, so be careful of the experimentation.!!!! I always check on fees before going in, I never have X rays, and even my West Coast Chiro, a real gem said he will not do x rays. He says if he cannot find the problem with hand examinations methods, then it is unlikely that x ray will do it. Unless you have a fracture, then why do x rays? Also an x ray will show arthritic conditions, so what? If you are over 45 you probably have some arthritic conditions. Also one chiro here after a seminar, just launched into our "ability to pay". Well if the dollar is the main issue then perhaps you need to go elsewhere and the same goes for rooms full of electronic TOYS. Just a few thoughts on my experience.
