I am not missing anything. It seems that most of the responses are completely ignoring the welfare reforms that happened under Clinton.

The programs that you mentioned we didn't need. Daycare, Pre K. Our wives stayed home and brought up our children. You didn't need two incomes to survive. Houses were affordable. State College tuition were next to nothing. Times have changed, and maybe our thinking should too.
Read the article. Welfare reform helped the lower class people. However, these families do need help, and they are getting it. This help doesn't make them totally dependent. Why paint the actions of a few on an entire group people? That is what is being done make no mistake about that.
Whether Trump is doing it or not, he is pitting the races against each other. Is someone going to look at his supporters, and say that he isn't?
