No...FREEDOM gave us a great standard of living.
Politicians/government are the middle man between the people and the corporations. They pass the laws and make regulations that are favorable to the corporations. It's why a law can be 3000 pages, it's filled with "goodies" that go to the corporations.
Politicians screw us to the benefit of...themselves of course...and the CORPORATIONS who "hired" them...by giving them money to get elected. The corporations support all the D and R candidates so they'll get their way irregardless of who gets elected.
I don't vote for any D or R.

EVERYTHING the government does, someone profits off it. "Food stamps" ACTUALLY goes indirectly to the food manufacturers as the recipients buy their products with the money they receive. Grocery stores like WalMart profit from increased sales due to the poor having more food money. JP Morgan bank runs the EBT SNAP card (food stamp) program and makes a profit running it.
It's all interconnected thievery.
