Of course corporations pay taxes but they also get to write off deductions which add up fast. They pay no "income tax" on profit.
We all pay 50% or more in taxes for just about everything we buy. Think about it. The mine it taxed with property tax, the ore is taxed when the smelter buys it, the iron is taxed when it goes to the fabricator who adds tax again when his finished product is used to make some consumer product that is taxed again when sold to the public. Every step of a products manufacture is taxed in some way. The raw materials may not be taxed, the machinery not taxed, but there ARE taxes paid.
