A couple quick thoughts: New Covenant is my church. Pastor Harold is probably my favorite pastor of all times. He is bright, personable, passionate, sincere, has a good sense of humor, he is a “walking & talking preacher” (I think of him as a teacher more than a preacher) and he has no fear of bringing in, on a regular basis, personal examples of him “being human”.
My second thought is that we have one of the finest musical directors possibly in all of Florida. Sean (completing his PhD) sings, is an unusually creative pianist, arranges music, teaches a small lesson relating to the upcoming sermon most weeks and conducts the choir. Sean is highly gifted. He has put together a fairly accomplished choir with a variety of singing talents included.
I suggest you come and give both Pastor Harold and soon-to-be Dr. Sean a listen to. It is unlikely that you’d be disappointed. My wife and I go to the 9:15 service and I’d be delighted to meet you there, if you like. (As an aside, most of our friends happen to be New Covenant attendees. There was no purposeful attempt, it just happened).
