We bought a new Villa in the Brownwood area and previously owned a villa in the Lake Sumter area. In both villas the microwave was not vented to the outside. Both microwave fans blew cooking exhaust into the living area which made no sense to me. In our Brownwood villa, the microwave was on an outside wall. I contracted with Jim Bader 352-406-0952 to vent it. He cored through my pored concrete wall and installed a very modest looking vent. It works great. He also gave me the option to vent up through the roof but going through the wall was less work and I wasn't eager to put another vent through my roof.
