As I mentioned in an earlier post, we adopted, Lexi, a beagle on Saturday. A strange thing has happened since then. Our grieving Wheaten (Murphy) immediately accepted the new dog with wagging tail and kisses. Murphy doesn't like any new dog, especially after he lost his brother, a beagle. Is it possible that Murphy thinks this is his deceased brother? Although the new dog is a beagle, she is a girl and about 15 lbs smaller. It is really weird, but we are so happy that Murphy is happy. He will now go on walks and plays with her. IT'S A MIRACLE (at least in our minds)!!!!! Talk about the Twilight Zone.
