Our Carpet Cleaning Process

First the carpets are vacuumed with a powerful commercial vacuum; then a portable edger vacuum is used to remove the loose soil from the carpet and baseboards. The bonnet method consists of environmentally friendly, nontoxic cleaning solutions that are sprayed onto the carpet at a rate of 1 gallon per 500 sf. This is approximately one tenth the amount that a typical steam cleaner would use.

Once the cleaning solutions are sprayed onto the carpets, we use a rotary floor machine with the cleaning pads (bonnets) to gently churn between the carpet fibers and trap the moisture and dirt into the pads. Several pads are used, then on the last pass, a cotton terry towel is used to help speed the drying time. The results are a clean fresh smelling carpet with no soapy residue.

Upon completion, a carpet groomer (rake) is used to raise the carpet fibers and give a nice finished look. Any furniture that was moved will be moved back with plastic protectors under each leg to keep from staining. Typically drying times are 1-2 hours depending on soiling. Deodorizing comes standard on all cleaning jobs.

However, if you have pet odor issues, special pet enzymes & deodorizers may be needed to achieve maximum results and will be priced according to the extent of the problem. Other carpet services such as red stain, wax, and gum removal, as well as carpet protector, are available for an additional charge.
