All of the soldiers I have talked to fight for their fellow soldiers. The patriotic men at home might do a lot of flag waving but not the men who have actually suffered a great deal for their country. They still might but how they feel about things will be quite different.

Colin Kaepernick's actions might actually help some vets get better treatment especially those that are African-American. And how vets have been treated by bureaucrats leaves a lot to be desired and these bureaucrats are probably some of the biggest flag wavers.
