The Animal League's (aka South Lake Animal League) Emergency Transport Van is in too poor condition to be fixed. A dog died because the van was in the shop being worked on when they got the call. They are trying to raise funds to get another one so they can continue to be there and help animals in need. You can read some transport stories at:
