In the 1960's my father was a newsreel photographer for CBS news. In those days, the video you saw on your TV was taken on what was essentially slide film on a movie base. Translation-it was slow film (low ASA) to shoot at night you had quartz lights powered by nicad batteries-bright and heavy.
Imagine what it was like for a crew of 3-4 white people in the middle of race riots with a quartz light to be sure you could and would be seen.
I saw my father's company car as he had it parked in front of our home so he would have all his equipment should they call him to cover an event.
There were bullet holes in his car. Every piece of glass in his care was broken. What you saw that night was edited to a nice old lady with a sign that read PEACE NOW. OUR GOVERNMENT declared that violence breeds violence. The news you see, the information you VOTE ON, was controlled by our government.
More recently, KERRY suggested that we could control Muslim terrorists if the press refused to cover them. ALL IS GREAT IN OBAMALAND.
