Let's see..... In a community of over 100,000 people, a new proposal is announced and there are a multitude of opinions on both sides of the issue.

And there are even some opinions that (gasp) the Developer is proposing something solely so that the Developer can make a profit.

I have visited several retirement communities in Florida and California, and have never seen one that approaches the value (for cost to the resident) of The Villages. I'm sure the Developer faced similar resistance to other proposals that were put forward in the past.

To me, one of their big missteps was to build the Brownwood Town Square so far south. It should have been more centrally located between 466A and 44, and centrally between Buena Vista and Morse. But, there are probably 50,000 contrary opinions about this.
