No...we MUST cut welfare to people and corporations. That is our BIGGEST expense.

I too an anti-welfare. As a kid we were dirt poor. I was born just five years after my father who served from 1941-day after they bombed pearl harbor till the end of WWII in 1945.
He earned more than one purple heart-the hard way.
While we were poor, my father worked his way up and we were comfortable. Till I was 12-13 we lived in a rent subsidized city housing project. I was roughly 9 before my parents COULD AFFORD a TV and I was 11 before we got our first car. TODAY, THE WAY WE LIVED WOULD SIMPLY BE UNACCEPTABLE FOR PEOPLE EXPECTING OTHERS TO PAY THEIR BILLS RATHER THAN EARNING WHAT THEY NEED OR WANT.
Your statement is at best misleading. Welfare is listed at 7% of the budget. What you parrot as corporate welfare is- first of all you need to realize that a corporation is just paperwork to set up a business that limits personal liability and raises capital by selling stock-shares in that business.
The function of this legal creation is to distribute money-profits-to the owners-people who bought stock. As to corporate welfare-that is created by our GOVERNMENT.
GE for example paid zero tax. The reason was all the tax advantages offered by our government-OFFERED BY THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION for green energy, GE is very active in the wind turbines set out across the US. When Obama hopped on airforce one to try to increase business with europe, Emmilt of GE was aboard. If, you are not aware, GE bought a French electric company. The truth was to escape ht American corporate tax which is among the highest in the world. To approve the deal the french government wrote into the contract that they must keep the offices in France and continue to employ the same number of french people
FYI-I am one of the EVIL STOCKHOLDERS in GE. I pay 15% tax, the highest tax rate for dividends, on the dividends I receive. The value of the per share price is almost twice what I bought it for. IF, YOU WERE SMART ENOUGH TO DO THE SAME GOOD FOR YOU. IF, YOU HAD THE NERVE TO RISK YOU SAVINGS AS I DID IN 2008 GOOD FOR YOU. IF, NOT WHAT THE HELL MAKES YOU THINK YOU DESERVE MY PROFITS. FYI-you do not, Obama does not, our country does not share in losses on stocks for more than 3,000.
I am over 65 and am receiving Social security. Unlike how our government spins social security IT IS WELFARE. Before you argue, the money WE paid in is not sitting in a bank account with your name on it. The money we WERE FORCED to pay in paid fior what the people before us took out. In truth, it was used to BUY THE VOTES of the people before us. Adding to the no longer possible illusion was when Bush added UNFUNDED, prescription drug coverage to the social security farce. Perhaps, the coupe de gras was when Obama added UNFUNDED OBAMACARE on to the already soon to be overdrawn SOCIAL SECURITY PLAN.
CLEARLY WHILE MOST DARE NOT ADMIT IT SINCE THERE IS NO BANK ACCOUNT WITH YOUR NAME ON IT, WHAT YOU/WE GET FROM SOCIAL SECURITY IS IN FACT WELFARE.
