Get over it. Zika is not catastrophe. Sure, it's an illness. So is the flu. And the flu is more dangerous. NO one is attacking anyone here, other than people like you that disagree with someone so you make a big deal about it. I bet there are quite a few on here that have had Malaria. I have been bit by a mosquito and contracted Dengue fever. Like zika, you live through it. The gov makes a big deal of it, overly big deal of it so they can spend more money. There is big money in research grants.
Use deet and quit worrying about something that isn't going to happen to you. "Severe illness and Deaths are extremely rare from the zika virus" according to the CDC. There has only been 43 cases of mosquito transmitted cases of zika in America, and all of those were in Florida. All the other transmitted cases were from people bringing it in from other countries. Zika was discovered over 70 years ago and now it is lucrative to researchers to investigate a vaccine? Dengue fever can be fatal and we DO have it in the U.S. I don't hear any panic from anyone about Dengue. Only one in five persons bit by a mosquito carrying zika will become infected with zika and only a very small percentage of those that are pregnant will have problems with their pregnancy.

Zika hype is going to make someone very wealthy, but do very little.
