If this is the typical "pergo" style flooring, I always had to remove from the bad section all the way back to the closest wall, replace the bad section, and then replace the rest of the flooring. I never found a way to just replace section in the middle.
I hope you find a solution, but I would be real careful if the vendor suggests removing one or two of the interlocking lips to install the new pieces, or using glue to install the new pieces.
This gets further complicated if the wall molding was installed over top of the flooring, as the molding then needs to be removed also.
