The reason I am pointing this out, is that IE11 has become a little unstable recently. I wanted to update, but cannot find a way to force the update.

I would strongly recommend a switch to Google Chrome as a browser. Both IE 11 and Edge have issues and are not as reboust as Chrome.
If you hate Google then try Firefox.
