Street Legal---must be factory designed ( Bombardier, Nev, etc ) max speed 25mph

Golf carts that are modified to go over 20 mph after they come from factory are illegal-period. They are not designed to go over 20 mph.

Street legal is an automobile by Florida law and no different than an automobile. You must have a valid driver's license, required Florida automobile insurance, register and tagged.

The Villages Homeowner's Assn. has their golf cart safety meeting the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Savannah Center 10:00am. Law enforcement from Sumter, Lake and Marion County attend and answer all you questions.
