Golf Cart Connection - Service
We were having some issues with our 18 month old rebuilt Club Car (sound of metal on metal grinding in one of the back wheels). I called Golf Cart Connection this morning seeking a service call. The service manager said first opening was on Friday. Yikes, 5 days without a golf cart...unacceptable.
So, I first called and talked to a manager in Mt Dora...still no satisfaction..."sorry, we're all booked up"; then found an email POC on their website. Sent them an email detailing this and prior issues with service and questioning why they didn't reserve some appointment slots for emergency problems. Also, I intimated that I would put a pointed post on TOTV detailing my experiences. This was not the GCC that I knew and promoted.
Well, got an email reply from the CEO being very apologetic for the lack of response. They do have an emergency triage process, but, the service manager was not hearing (or listening) to the symptoms I told him and thought it was a minor issue that could wait. I also got a call from the manager at the Summerfield store, also apologetic, and assuring me that a crew would come out today -- which they did and repaired the problem.
So, my faith in GCC is restored. Just be prepared if you call for service...non-emergency or routine maintenance may be deferred for a few days. But, if your problem is critical (car won't run, brakes failed, steering broken, etc) make sure they understand this so that you can get an emergency appointment within a day or two.
They are still a :#1: sponsor in my book.
