I have a nice cherry executive desk. I've very tall and like to slouch very comfortably for extended sessions on occasion. I would like to be able to extend my feet out, but they are blocked by the solid back surface of the desk, which extends all the way down to the floor.
Would it be possible to cut out an area for my feet/legs, maybe a foot or so above the floor and a few feet wide without compromising the looks or the integrity of the desk too much?
I'd consider doing it myself with some advice, or paying a modest fee to a woodworker who would like to offer his/her services?
