Time to wake up in DC. The war in Iraq is over. No WMD's, Saddam was tried and executed. The Iraqis have a democratically elected government. The war is over. bring the troops home from Iraq and step up the hunt for Osama Bin Laden elsewhere. Provide job assistance and training plus medical care for the returning troops that is equivalent to what every member of The Administration and Congress receives. The war is over, Mission accomplished.

Stop the Republican saber rattling about Iran. If they are a threat, then tell the neighbors of Iran to deal with their problem.

Stop shouldering a never ending disproportionate share of the cost in human lives and our national treasure for countries that are more than capable of taking on a bigger share of the burden themselves.

Energy, wake up and stop putting band aids on a gushing growing wounded domestic economy.

Start selling exploration and drilling rights for offshore and Alaskan Wilderness to US Headquartered firms that pay their fair share of taxes, with these provisions:
- any Company that explores and drills, must build refineries also. No refineries, no drilling.
- nothing that comes out of the ground goes anywhere else but the USA.

Automobiles and trucks
Impose MPG standards for automakers that require 30 MPG by 2010.

Lower speed limits on highways that get federal funds to 65 MPH for autos.

Reduce speed limits for trucks to 60 MPH on same highways and prohibit them from driving in left hand lanes. (This should save them fuel immediately and save them money and jobs).

Increase and extend incentives for purchases of Hybrid autos and home solar water heaters with Federal tax reductions to individual owners.

Appropriate federal funds for Interstate highway improvements and repairs and provide incentives for development of high speed passenger railroads alongside the Interstate system. Hub and spoke like airlines have done.

Stop all federal subsidies for alternative energy programs that remove food from the nation's food chain.

Lastly, stop doing things that are politically motivated to insure reelection and that only favor lobbyists and special interest group.

Start representing the folks back home who sent you to Washington in the first place. Time is running out to start fixing the problems that will be left to my children and grandchildren to deal with.

It's time to stop politicking and time to get things done.
