Default D-Day Tour
We had an excellent D-Day tour for 8 last spring from Cherbourg with Normandy Sightseeing Tours. In 2015 we were on one of their tours from Le Harve to Giverny (Monet's house and gardens) and Rouen which was equally good. Both were substantially cheaper than the cruise line offerings.

Others on the ship used Overlord Tours which they liked.

I really don't like to drive in a foreign country when I have limited time.
