Most congresspersons, once they are initially elected, seem to hang on forever. That 2-year job becomes 14-18-22-26 etc. before you know it. The excuse is that the more years the person spends in Congress, the more "pork" they can bring home.

Sadly, almost all of them spend more social and work time in the DC area to the point they become DC-ites and lose almost all relationship to whichever district elected them. Sometimes, I think without Google Earth, they would know were that home district is.

There's been many cried for term limits - we don't need them. Just don't keep voting for the incumbent.
Good point. If the name on the ballot is an incumbent, vote for someone else.

I started reading Dick Morris' book Outrage and it didn't take very long for me to get outraged. The changes for reform promised in the last Congressional Elections changed nothing except the names on a few Post Office Buildings.
