Default New house walk through with builder, and it RAINED in TV!

It rained today and it was much needed. Everything was dry and a little brown.

We had our new house walk through, which does NOT happen until after you close.

We had closed through the mail and arrived last Thursday like a caravan of gypsys with a trailer.( Is using the word "gypsys" politically correct?) ANYWAY, after settling in and using all the stuff, it worked fine and the house was meticulous, perfect. Drywall, paint, plantings, everything. There was a slight indentation that needed filled in by the water box, the pole lamp didn't come on at dusk and the kitchen sink stoppers were missing. That was it, to be fixed.

Our rep came first, bearing gifts, and then the builder. Sweetie and I have moved into eight homes in our life, all but one of them brand new and three we saw built.

This experience was incredible, just like everything else in TV. The builder was
not only charming and polished, but in about two minutes you could see how this whole thing works so flawlessly. He had house plans and schematics for plumbing, electric, framing etc, including a nice surprise, our attic has floor! He noted our list and while, WHILE we were chatting, (in about ten minutes) someone was out fixing the pole lamp, the plumber stopped by with the missing sink stoppers and the landscaper was scheduled for the next day!

DONE....ditty dot. DONE. Snap just like that.

We asked about his history with the company and he told us that way back awhile, all of the builders and contractors would meet near the NOW polo fields after work on Fridays and have a cold drink with the Morses. He had a lot of good things to say about the family.

There are six or seven builders at the present time. I heard that the Morse/Schwartz family originally brought a builder or builders from Michigan where they lived.

Well, just wanted to share with you that this experience was so very nice and we love the house.

I suggest that if you are living someplace else you should live here. It really is wonderful.
