The dishwasher clearance is very important, the house up north had additional flooring installed over the existing. When the dishwasher failed, I had to jack up the counter top to get the old DW out. Fortunately this was a laminate counter top, and I was able to get the 1/4 inch additional clearance I needed. About 2 years later when we decided to replace the flooring, both the existing and the previous flooring came out before the new when in. With a granite or quartz counter top, I am sure this would crack if you tried to jack it up, so you would need to remove the new flooring to get the DW old, and then reinstall after the new one was installed.
