Our Whole house filter removes 99.9% of the chlorine and pollutants, I have an independent lab test to substantiate that.
One point on chlorine removal, it is not just chlorine you need removed. If you look at you annual report from the water company there are two by products listed there as well.
Haloacetic acid & TTHM, both are by-products of disinfection process equally as carcinogenic as the chlorine.
We don't use the standard charcoal based carbon our removes those by-products as well.
Most softeners just softeners just soften they don't filter.
