Due to the hurricane, I brought all my plants into the house and consequently, the gecko's came with them. You have to be fast, but I stalk them until I can grab them with a rag, but don't squeeze too tightly, and carry it back outside. Sometimes their tails come off but that's okay, they can live without them, I think.
Don't rely on dogs or cats, they only want to play with them. Good luck.
