Kathie,
We were in the same position with our spa. It also was built by T&D when the house was built. There was a leak somewhere that caused the water level to drop daily. We had a leak detection company out of Clermont come four times and they couldn't find the leak. Then T&D started doing their own leak detection and they thought they found the leak and repaired it, but it kept leaking. Rather than spend more and more money trying to find the leak(s), we contacted them about removing it and were also told they were busy but would put it on the schedule when they had a chance. About 3-4 weeks later, they showed up and started taking it out. They did a great job, especially since they salvaged the low wall that remained after the raised concrete deck was removed with the spa so the cage didn't have to be redone.
You may want to see if they'll do it for you anyway if you are patient about the scheduling.
