FYI to add fire to the flames (see, I really am Independent!), the Washington Post has examined the voting records for the latest Senate session and noted the following:
MISSED VOTES - Sen McCain, 60.8%; Sen Obama, 42.5%; Sen. Clinton, 32.5%.
There were 27 Senators (out of the 100) whose record shows missing 1% or less of all votes.
So, neither of the two Presidential candidates, nor the third-place finisher thought enough of their Senatorial position - and thus the voters of their states - to show up for work a third to better than half the time.
