I really love my kids (age 24 and 21 not living at home), but I would never move young children to The Villages (retirement community!)...so they have to act like illegal aliens.

What you described (the family that violated the covenants) is probably a strong reason the developer has been buying up the old trailer homes (low enough value that people that have a tenancy to violate rules can afford) and building new more expensive homes in their place (running off the pit bull dogs, golf cart grave yards, bust outs). Good people don't want to live near bad people...
