There is a broad range of intelligence established at birth. Not everyone is born "equal", but everyone is born valuable. It is just as bad for people to make fun of others who don't have as many IQ points as they do as it is to make fun of people for their race or age or for the amount of money they have.

There are a lot of valedictorian's who are not successful in life by general standards. Watch Jeopardy. Some people are smart, and some people are smart-ass.
